Rationale/Skills for Math Fries

Grade Level: First and Up
Skills: Addition and Subtraction
Object: Complete the math equation by eating the French fries with the math problem that match the target number.

Math Fries is a simple, but exciting game geared toward younger students learning the properties of addition and subtraction. The vibrant music and hilarious graphics keep kids entertained, even when calculating answers to math problems. This is one of the most popular games on the site, especially for second and third graders. In the game there will be a number located on the top of the screen. The user will also see a screen full of French fries. Half of the French fries on the screen contain an addition or subtraction problem that equals the number on the top of the screen. The user must eat all of the appropriate French fries to move on to the next round. Rounds get progressively harder. The user is allotted three incorrect meals before the game ends.

This is another fantastic game for students who learn visually. It is easily used on a Smartboard and will engage students for long periods of time.
