Larry Bird is widely considered one of the best basketball players of all time. By the time he came to the Boston Celtics in 1979, he was a star, having led his Indiana State Sycamores to the NCAA Finals. Bird had an and drastic on the Celtics. In his first year, he led them to a record of 61 wins and 21 losses, a 33 game over the season. Over the next twelve years, Bird led the Celtics to five NBA Finals and three NCAA Championships.
